Hike Mam Tor from near the campsite; 500 m elevation gain but excellent views at the 555 m summit.
Visit Speedwell Cavern for an underground boat tour on the subterranean river; booking advisable.
Return to camp; light BBQ and early night.
Gentler walk up Lose Hill from Castleton; 280 m elevation, 2.5 hours round trip.
Loop back via Castleton village and explore Odin Sough cave entrance or visit Peveril Castle ruins.
Relax at camp; prepare a hearty campfire dinner.
Short drive to Thor's Cave near Wetton (20 km); 45-minute hike through limestone landscape to the cave entrance.
Return to camp, pack up, and depart for home or onward destination.
