6 Days in Roatán: Reef, Ruin & Rhythm

Coxen Hole, Honduras · 6 days, 5 nights · mid-range · from about $1250 per person · best in February, March, April

Roatán is the Caribbean's biggest secret—a 30-mile island with the second-longest barrier reef, Garifuna culture, and a scuba scene that rivals Belize. Dive with spotted eagle rays and grouper, hike jungle to old settlements, eat hudut in beachside villages, and watch the sunset from a cliff-edge bar. More substance than party.
