5 Days in Svalbard: Longyearbyen & Arctic Wilderness

Longyearbyen, Norway · 5 days, 4 nights · luxury · from about $3200 per person · best in April, May, June

Longyearbyen sits at 78°N, further north than any city in the world except Tromsø and Barrow—a true Arctic settlement where polar bears outnumber people and the landscape is raw tundra and glaciers. This luxury trip combines dog sledding, snowmobile safaris or summer hikes, wildlife tours, and immersion in a unique high-north culture that few travellers ever experience.
