Day by day

Day 1: Arrival & Arches Scenic Loop

Dinner at Moab Diner, walk Main Street, grab ice cream at Atomic Testing Museum ice cream bar.

Day 2: Delicate Arch & Devil's Garden

Early start: hike Delicate Arch Trail (3 miles round trip) before 9am to beat crowds and heat.

Pack lunch, explore Devil's Garden Trail; walk as far as kids want (easy 2-mile out-and-back works).

Sunset at Balanced Rock viewpoint, then casual pizza dinner at Love Muffin Cafe.

Day 3: Canyonlands & Needle Arch

Drive 40min to Canyonlands Island in the Sky; stop at Grand Viewpoint and upheaval Dome overlooks.

Hike Needle Arch Trail (2.5 miles round trip) for a quirky, photogenic slot canyon.

Return to Moab, relax at hotel pool, casual dinner at Sunset Grill with patio views.

Day 4: Castle Valley Water & Cool Down

Drive scenic Castle Valley Road (20min); stop at swimming holes in clear creek pools.

Day 5: Last-Minute Discoveries & Depart

Revisit a favourite trail or explore Arches Museum of the Southwest (indoors, 45min).
